MOON

BFA Exhibition at Western Colorado University

3/12/2026

Moon is a conceptual fragrance line comprising three distinct perfumes, each representing a chapter of the female experience. Babe captures the fleeting innocence of childhood; a time of growing awareness before the world fully comes into focus. Girl Talk reflects late adolescence and young adulthood through the lens of meaningful female friendships. Eve represents motherhood, a stage celebrated for its significance while simultaneously subjected to intense scrutiny. The project explores these themes while maintaining commercial viability, intentionally blurring the line between conceptual art and consumer product design.

This project was created for the joint BFA exhibition at Western Colorado University. Centered on product packaging design, each fragrance box and bottle was carefully conceptualized, designed, and hand-crafted. To further support the project's conceptual narrative, each fragrance was accompanied by a custom-designed artistic poster and quote card. The complete body of work was thoughtfully installed and exhibited in the Quigley Gallery. In addition to the project itself, I designed the artist cards for my individual exhibition as well as the exhibition card for the collective BFA show.

The overall design of this project embraces a minimal, elevated, and dreamlike aesthetic. Each color palette was thoughtfully curated to complement its corresponding fragrance while contributing to the cohesion of the collection as a whole. Every design decision was made with the intention of creating a unified luxury fragrance line.

PACKAGING DESIGN

Images showcasing the completed product packaging, including the bottles, labels, stickers, and rigid slide-boxes. I designed and manufactured the packaging elements myself. The bottles were outsourced, while the labels and stickers were designed by me in Adobe Illustrator and professionally printed off-site. The rigid slide-boxes were fully handcrafted by me using printed card-stock and foam board.

ACCOMPANYING ARTWORK

Part of this exhibition included artwork accompanying each fragrance. The primary goal of this artwork was to add visual context to each concept while retaining and further enforcing visual and brand identity across the series. Each poster was designed in Adobe Illustrator and printed on 12×24 photo paper to be hung in a scroll-style frame.

EXHIBITION

In this section is a collection of various assets relating to the exhibition itself. This includes the digital mockup and photographed execution of the finished exhibit. Alongside this exhibit, I designed show cards for the entire group exhibition, labeled Surface Tension to include all student work. I also designed personal artist cards that served as both invitations and take-aways for my own personal project and exhibit.
